I guess I shall go with the flow and move over to Tumblr to update my sim stuff. Most of my sim friends have done that already. I've added a link to my account on the right side.
My talk show project has been pushed out. A very talented group on Simatography has decided to do something similar and now it doesn't seem so original, lol. But never fear, I seem to have an unlimited source of ideas. I have a new story centered around ruling vampires, technobots, and rebellion. I'm not big on making sims so I have been scouring the simming community for sims I think will fit the parts. Now the trouble lies in finding voices for them all...
I once swore out of modeling, due to its time consuming effort and my curse of unoriginal ideas. But Minread is doing "Casting Call" which centers around auditions. They aren't doing scores or real judging and it is only 6 assignments and it is ok is you get behind as long as you complete it. It fits my schedule and since they are looking for writing as well, I get to flex that writing muscle too.
I haven't actually played my game since I got back from my cruise. But before I left I was able to update my legacy a bit. I plan on getting back to it after I finalize a few details for my machinima.

Recap
I know, I know. Almost two months without a peep, my bad. Real Life has taken off for me. We are one floor and a set of stairs away from finishing our addition. And ... I am leaving to go on a cruise in 2 weeks!! So much of my beloved sims has been set aside.
SIFF is a no go. I lost interest before I really got things off the ground. They have started premiering though so I would suggest everyone take a look: PlayBill
I am going to do a rehaul on my Legacy. I am starting to feel hemmed in by not being able to get a job outside the home. And I have started playing for story and that always kills the fun. So gonna ditch my "plans" and possibly level the house and put another on it. I am tired of my old layout. We'll see how all that goes.
I am working on a machinima project currently. Well, off and on anyway. It's gonna be like a talk show with world reviews, townie interviews, a short jam session by the house band, and clothing spot light. It is a lot of work but it's something I enjoy working on with Hubby.
Simpure is still going strong. We just sent out our first newsletter last month and I think it turned out great. We have almost finished the next months as well. I get into periods of laziness and don't update the FB or Tweet as often as I should. But overall I feel our site is holding steady.
I haven't gotten showtime yet. *so sad* But Hubby promises that I can have it after we return from our cruise. *sigh* I hope everyone else has a great time rocking out their new singer career and simporting!

SIFF again ... and other things
It's time for another season of SIFF! How could I resist? My new machinima is entitled "The Island" and I had Phebes design a sim just for this purpose. She's a real beauty too. Can't wait to see her strut her thang on the red carpet.
I have really gotten into my legacy. Designed a family tree, created banners for each generation, man I am going loco. But it's fun to play how I like and to be able to share it with others. Currently, Julio can't fight his need to feed, Maya is afraid that she will lose Julio's love if he continues his night time wonderings, Sofia is a toddler with plans of shucking her vampy blood for a mortal life, and Rafe and Cesar about to kick the bucket. Did I mention Dakota and Cinnie are expecting as well? So much to catch up on.
I have decided to try custom poses. *Everyone's doing it!* I enjoy the process and have only just made my first ever pose. Be prepared to be blown away ...
... look, Annalise is doing the Robot! LOL OK, not so good but I was trying to move things and her arm would stretch to kingdom-come and DON'T get me started about the fingers. So we'll call this another work in progress.
Speaking of, I have lost interest in my "Byline" story. It will be the shortest lived story of them all and technically the only unfinished. I hate to do it, but with SIFF and how much I play my legacy, I just don't have the time for it. But I think I will still publish the Newspaper if my reporters get around to turning things in...

New Sim: Annalise
It is actually rare for me to create sims. I just find that I am not that great at it. I prefer story telling. But I went and made another female to balance out the scales of sims in my bin. Her name is Annalise Greer:
I can't remember her traits but I am playing her in Bridgeport. She is a stylist that moonlights as a mixologist and has just started a band with her roommate, Roarke.
I have started Generation Two of my legacy (link under "Stories" tab on the right). I just completed making a family tree for the Montoya's as well.
My only other story is "Byline" which went on hiatus during the Holiday's. I should have the weekend chapter up by next week. The newspaper has slowed down as well. I will have to get back on the ball for that as well.
I have added "make new tutorial" to my sim list. I will do one for basic pasting of sims and other items using gimp. Nothing fancy or too terribly hard either.
Anyway, that is all for now.

Personal Reasons
I believe "personal reasons" is the number one excuse simmer's use when they want to account for recent absences. I like it. You don't have to explain yourself since no one knows who you are or where you are from (well, except TMN) and you can continue on right where you left off.
I will share why I have been absent: I went crazy for a bit, lol! Seriously. I dropped all major commitments in the simming world, asked for a bit of leeway with my Simpure duties, and even ended all WiP stories and machinima.
So I started again with a clean slate. I have been slowly getting into sims again. But only doing what I enjoy instead of what I feel I MUST do. I have turned my Simming into a hobby instead of a way of life.
I started a legacy using Pets called A Man and His Dog: The Montoya Legacy. I made rules for myself and very loosely follow legacy guidelines. I am just now getting into the second generation.
I opened a newspaper called Appaloosa Times. No link as we haven't put out a first edition yet. It is actually just part of a larger story I am writing called Byline. "Byline" is written in a made-for-TV fashion where every one's lives are connected. Each character was created by the simmer I hired on my paper. And I occasionally send out messages asking them what they want their sim to do in a certain situation in the story, sort of like role playing. It sounds complicated but it's really fun for me.
I have no real plans for any future machinima. I have an idea simmering but haven't committed it to paper just yet. And since I dropped out of GJWHF and BL as judge, I have no desire to get back into modeling as of right now.

Funny
I know, we are suppose to hate TMN cuz they are liars that post mean things and blah blah blah. Everyone reads them, some just don't admit it. And yeah, they do get awful at times. I, myself, have made the pages. But since then, I realize they are like the National Inquirer: interesting to read but not to take too seriously. All that was so I could post this link: The Undead Parrot Sketch.
Moving on.
GJWHF3: Debbie hasn't been doing that great but hey, I have been having fun sharing my Louisiana know-how with others. Sadly, my laziness has prevented me from not updating my modeling blog. I will have to research my old scores to get caught up.
Stories: In Harmony is still on hold due to the recent installment of the Pets expansion pack. I want to make sure things are running smoothly before opening it. But a while back, I had posted the founder of my legacy. I had a background story on him and everything. But just no drive to start one yet. Well, I have! You can check it out here. A Man and His Dog: The Montoya Legacy
We had a big influx of members join Simpure due to Fel making the MS3B with her patterns. Most were just looking for the cc but some have stayed on to chat and post a bit. I still keep up with FB and Twitter responsibilities (mon-fri usually. We have had a couple of scheduled chats and what-nots. *meh* It shard to schedule them as we are all on different time zones.
In RL: It's fall, and the weather is nice. The kids are busy with festivals and pumpkin related schooling. I had hopes of having a new dining room or Thanksgiving but I don't think we are going to make it. Such is life.

Fall
Fall/Spring are the most beautiful times in Louisiana. I spent almost the entire weekend outside. Cut grass, pulled weeds from my garden getting it ready for fall planting, had a campfire with the kids, and even threw the football around with my hubby. Both my teams won this week, too, it was like icing on the cake, lol.
^That was just to let you know why you haven't seen me around. Now, onto Sim stuff:
I have joined GJWHF Cycle 3. I have updated my Modeling Blog with my newest pics and those can be found HERE.
SIFF Fall 2011 session is over and just waiting on results. Most won't believe it but I don't make machinima to win prizes or contests, I make them cuz I enjoy it. So if I forget to post "scores" just remind me and I'll check, lol. Along those lines, I am making a new "Halloween" themed machinima. Nothing too over the top, just vamp and sex type stuff. I have already spent hours on it and have like 30 seconds of clip. Machinima = Time Consuming.
I have been working on redesigning the FB page of Simpure. It should be up and running in a few weeks. I will post a link when I have it done. Being a "Social Media Coordinator" is really quite fun. I enjoy reading through the site finding fun things to tweet and update FB with. I ignore the drama from others the best I can, because really, Sims is a hobby, not a religion.
"In Harmony" is on a short hiatus. I love my story, I feel emotionally invested in Drake, Chloe, and Toby. LOL! But sometimes you just need a break, you know? So I am going to take another two weeks off. Then I will come back with a wedding shower thrown by Chloe and Drake having a wild bachelor party. Followed by the wedding pictures/video shot by moi.
I do believe that is all. Hope to see you around. Adios!
